Professional Accomplishments
Dr. Cogar graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri at Columbia for both his undergraduate and veterinary tenures, garnering many awards and scholarships along the way. During his surgery residency, he helped teach surgery courses to 3rd year veterinary students, and he helped to train 4th year students, interns, and residents on the clinic floor.
Dr. Cogar published several orthopedic articles during the residency and presented at prestigious symposium (Veterinary Orthopedic Society, American College of Veterinary Surgeon Symposium).
Dr. Cogar joined Carolina Veterinary Specialists, Winston-Salem in September 2011. His personal interests include sports, duck decoy carving, and fitness.
